Two new shoots are up, A third dig with the Guerrilla Gardeners and the Love Music Hate Racism gig. I want to get a few more shots of the gardeners before I make it into a single project, next week they’re in Stratford so a new location may prove interesting.

The LMHR gig was a blast, my ears still hurt… must get some earplugs. There are over 30 images in the gallery at the mo’ and I may add/rejig them around a bit as I’m not entirely happy with structure of the thing yet.

Tomorrow is Mayday, there’s a lot going on and I’m torn over what to cover. There’s the main TUC march in Trafalgar, but there’s also a Critical Mass at the same time. The Space Hijackers are up to no good outside the Bank of England as well. Finally ‘People in Common’ will be trying to defy the exclusion zone around Parliment Sq. A risky move and one likely to be met with resistance by the police. We shall have to wait and see, til’ then. – J.

Today I went down to photograph the Harrow v Windsor match for the local paper (2 – 1 to Harrow) It’s the first time I’ve done any sports photography and it’s not very easy, I tell ye. For the first half the sun was in and out behind clouds so a lot of stuff was coming out too dark.

I Swapped ends for the second half and the sun had decided to stay out so I was getting raking shadows across the players faces but with some nifty backlighting. I’m not sure yet if they’ll be used, the guy supposed to be doing it only showed up in the second half and I was only there as a sort of trial run. We shall see.

The second night of Guerrilla gardening is up and I’ve also added the Kember shots. I’ll be updating the Stratford project in the next few weeks with what I’ve shot in the last few months and eventually I’ll join up the two gardening sets as well.

I’ve also added the portfolio section, there’s nothing new in it, it’s just a collection of my best stuff. – J
